Its been a white since I’ve blogged due to various reasons. Most of these reasons are due to various hosting providers misbehaving.

I have still been doing other things.

RedKite v 0.1 was released and although it still needs some UI adjustments, but v 0.2 is well on its way.

RedKite v 0.1

I got my phone upgraded to a HTC Hero, which is a truly awesome device, even though i do miss Windows Mobile, Android is actually pretty good, although it does suffer from some rather lame parts of Google Apps, like Calendar which is just absolutely crap.

Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing, and i have been running it on my machines since it was given to MSDN, its brilliant and faster than ever.

I’m currently working on a post about what i would like to see in Windows 8, which should be coming up soon.

  1. RedKite looks cool, there arnt many windows twitter clients are there? i might have to try it out, there are so many ideas iv had for a windows twitter client! but i lack the programming :/

Iv had my HTC hero since it came out, i love it 🙂
Thing is its still on 1.5… did yours come with 1.6? by any chance? im not sure how the upgrade process is suppose to work..

  2. Hey GodsDead

There arnt many made especially for Windows, that follow the single column design, most seem to be like tweetdeck that are multiple columns. If you have any ideas for RedKite please tell, im always interested to hear them

The Hero is still on 1.5. 1.6 should be out before the end of the year.
The upgrade process on the Hero is annoying, you have to wipe the device. But if you visit XDA Developers you can get custom made ROM’s which tend to be better, and are upgradable in somecases without wiping.

Im currently stuck with a T-Mobile G2, which once updated seems to block any rooting of the device.
