Cobalt and IRC Client

One of the projects i am currently working on is Cobalt, which is a IRC Client. Below is my first go at the interface.

    What’s with the ugly purple? Also, it’s not obvious that the tabs are tabs.

    I personally thought the purple was quite nice, but i think something more subtle might be better.
    Yea the tabs need some improvement

    Also, what’s your strategy for lots of tabs? Some people are in a lot of channels.

    For the moment i’m thinking of doing it like browsers do, so you can scroll through the tabs, unless i can think of something better. It isnt a use-case i have thought much about, as i very rarely have more than 5 or 6 channels / servers open

    The purple isn’t bad, though a bit dark.

    You releasing a trial version of this? Wouldn’t mind playing with it.

    bennuk, thanks for the feedback, i will be releasing a beta version (it will be open source), when i have some time to sit down and get the actual code written (at the moment, its just a interface)
